Which Vampire Diaries Star Wanted to Be a Firefighter?

VAMPIRE DIARIES: THE ULTIMATE ADDICTION!

Vampire Diaries series is the ultimate addiction. It's almost impossible for a person to stop watching once he/she has grabbed the essence of it and surprisingly, one episode is all that it takes. Irrespective of exams on head, assignments to submit, girls in the hostel sit glued to their laptop watching one episode after the other till their eyes can't take it anymore.

When end semester exams were on our held, most of us felt helpless owing to our addiction. Three seasons had been released till then. Two of them with 22 episodes each and it was impossible to stop watching them. On the good side, it offers a total escape to a different world which is something all hostel residing students need once in a while but on the bad side, it's a big distraction. The bad side of the story doesn't end there. The series is infused with killing, deaths and dark sides with hearts shown been ripped apart. Unsurprisingly, there's a group of girls that freak out so much they are afraid to get out of their room after dark. It affects health also. How many episodes can one watch without straining their eyes and enduring headache? Well, we all know the good and the bad sides but it's still our number one TV show series.

Talking to all the Vampire Diaries fans around me, here are some reasons they pointed out that makes it a big hit.
It's like a fast paced roller coaster ride. No one likes monotony but the fast pace in which the events take place on this series leaves a person wishing there was some constancy so that the mind could take a break. There are murders, affairs, deceit, strong bonds and there are new faces showing up after every few episodes. One of the fans, Priyanka, comments, "There is absolutely nothing predictable about vampire diaries. That's why I love it. It's like a whole new world."
The characters make your heart skip a beat. One of the best parts about the series is that every character has a personality that is in synchrony with his actions. No villain is purely a sinner. No good character is shown all saintly. It's wonderful how it has depicted the perfect balance between the dark side and the good side of a person to give a complete picture of his/her character. The ultimately charming Salvatore brothers and the hot villain Klaus, what else does one need to stay spellbound to it. It's superstitious yet seems rational. Nothing about the plot of the series is even a bit close to reality. Yet somehow, when you watch it, it becomes your reality. The way superstitious amalgamates with reality is simply wonderful and the credit goes to the way it's been depicted. Fast yet flawless.

"I can't stop watching because when I close one episode, I can't stop thinking what will happen in the next one. It always ends with a breath-stopping suspense. It starts with a bang, ends with a louder bang", says another fan.

It has amazing soundtracks. No feeling can be conveyed in proper way without the perfect lyrics and melody. Vampire Diaries has it all. You fall in love with the tracks because they are played at such a perfect timing and match extremely well.
"Family is all we need" Out of all the emotions that the series convey, the strongest is the feeling that there's nothing like family. Superbly put it leaves the viewer thinking we all come back home, to where we belong and feeling blessed to have a family that protects from everything ominous.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' update: Ian Somerhalder visits LA 'in search of a movie'

Ian Somerhalder is stirring up casting rumors once again as the star tweeted "wheels down in Rainy LA-in search of a movie..." on March 7. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" hopeful is making his second trip to Los Angeles within weeks of each other, causing speculation that he may be on the Christian Grey short list and has returned to continue the auditioning process. Shortly after Somerhalder's early morning message a Sulia contributor asked the inevitable question, "is Ian's tweet about being in L.A. a hint that he is auditioning or meeting with filmmakers for the Fifty Shades movie?"

The "Vampire Diaries" star is currently using his time off from filming to grow his charity, ISF, as well as scout for movie roles. Somerhalder, 34, has an open schedule and admitted in the past that he is interested in the coveted role of Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey" saying, "I absolutely would be up for that. It could be very, very amazing. I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out." This perfect storm of interest, availability and movie hunting tweets could lead fans to believe he has a shot at landing the part. E L James has also hinted at favoring Somerhalder but revealed during Oscar week that her favorite may not be who people expect.

All this back and forth could give "greysessed" fans whiplash but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Universal Chairman Adam Fogelson wants "Fifty Shades of Grey" ready for a Summer 2014 release which means filming would need to begin in Fall 2013. In short, casting will have to take place by this Summer, leaving fans a few more months to endure rumors and speculation.

Vampire Diaries’ Scoop: Damon & Elena Bond On A Trip To New York

Elena helps Damon relive his 1970s glory days when ‘The Vampire Diaries’ returns. (Plus, an old friend comes back!)
What’s a girl to do when her brother dies, her house burns down, and there’s an ancient evil fast approaching? Party! (Duh.) On the March 21 episode of The Vampire Diaries, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decides that Elena (Nina Dobrev) needs “some time away from Mystic Falls,” so he whisks her away on a trip to New York City, where the couple gets a lot more than they bargained for.
I’m talking about a surprise appearance from Rebekah (Claire Holt), who unexpectedly joins the duo in their travels. According to The CW’s official description of the episode, Rebekah is “impressed with Elena’s secret agenda.”
Oh, and did I mention flashbacks to Damon’s life in the ’70s also include the return of Lexi (Arielle Kebbel)? And that Damon and Lexi’s encounter is “complicated?” Get excited, kids!
More Spoilers From ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 4, Episode 17
While Damon and Elena are galavanting in the big city, the rest of the Mystic Falls gang is back home, trying to figure out what to do about Silas. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) spend the episode trying to convince Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to help them track Silas down, while Bonnie (Kat Graham) is off in her own little world as she “struggles to keep her grasp on reality and do the right thing.”

‘Vampire Diaries’ Scoop: Stefan Has An ‘Unexpected’ Plan For Elena

Damon’s ‘not sure how to react’ when Stefan shares his intentions. But what could they be?!
Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) past will catch up to her — in more ways than one — on the March 28 episode of The Vampire Diaries. Not only will she and Rebekah (Claire Holt) team up to hunt down Katherine, who currently holds the cure for vampirism, but she also has a “surprising encounter” with Elijah (Daniel Gillies). It’s about damn time!

Meanwhile, Elena’s old-and-current flames stay back in Mystic Falls and spend all their time worrying about her. You know, for a change. According to The CW, both Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are “concerned about Elena’s state of mind and are determined to do what’s best for her,” but there’s a twist to this seemingly familiar situation: Stefan apparently “reveals his unexpected plan for the future” — presumably Elena’s future — and Damon “is not sure how to react.”

I can only imagine what Stefan has planned for her.

More Spoilers: Klaus & Caroline Team Up — Again
Still determined to take care of Silas, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) enlists the help of Caroline (Candice Accola) to reach his goal. She’s reluctant to help him — what else is new? — but he eventually convinces her to lend him a hand, which leads him to “a new understanding of Silas’ power.”

In my experience, “new understanding”s are rarely good, but there’s a first time for everything; maybe Klaus will figure out a way to defeat the undead evil!

But probably not.

Nina Dobrev vs. Lucy Hale: Who Looks Better With Pink Streaks?

It’s a truth universally acknowledged, that a fictional teenage girl going through a rebellious stage, must experiment with hair dye.
Exhibit A: Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale). Pretty Little Liars’ carefree spirit sported bright pink streaks prior to Ali’s disappearance in Season 1. We thought they were cool; Emily’s mom called her a goth.
Exhibit B: Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). Now that Vampire Diariesheroine Elena has shut off her humanity (thanks, Damon), she’s found herself a new happy place — one void of all emotion. Not only is Elena 2.0 more brutally honest, but her newfound sassiness also comes with a new ‘do. Taking a page out of Aria’s journal, Elena decides to spice up her life with daring new fashions (bye-bye boring Henleys) and yep, pink streaks.
Lucy and Nina are both super talented, but which actress looks better with rebellious pink streaks? Sound off in our poll below!
Catch the next episode of Pretty Little Liars on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family. The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, March 14 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Who do you think looks better?!

TV Guide spoke to Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) about his Vampire Diaries' character's chances of finding love with Elena (Nina Dobrev).

The Vampire Diaries Poll: Did Damon Make the Right Choice With Elena?

Holy wow! We cried for days after that episode, but we still can’t believe Damon (Ian Somerhalder) told Elena (Nina Dobrev) to switch off her humanity. Granted, the girl was having a nervous breakdown after Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) death, but it was still a drastic measure. She burnt down the house with everything — including Jeremy’s body — in it. Though Stefan (Paul Wesley) warned her she might want to go back home someday, she dropped the match and walked away.Based on the promo for Season 4, Episode 16, “Bring It On,” Damon’s plan worked. Elena is even more chipper than before her parents died. Of course, she’s also biting cheerleaders. Do you think Damon made the right call, or is this just asking for trouble?

'Vampire Diaries' Hangout Mystic Grill Gets Real-Life Restaurant: 5 Potential Menu
"We very much hope to open by summer," resident Angie Henderson Beszborn tells the Newton Citizen recently. "Southern comfort food with a touch of fine dining." The place will serve lunch and dinner and will actually be the Mystic Grill you see on television each week. The cast doesn't actually film inside the building now, but it is used for outside exterior shoots.
Seriously, how awesome is this new development? Perhaps the cast and crew can go eat once it's all complete after a long day of filming.
In lieu of this exciting news, we've created some dishes the restaurant should totally put on the menu. Check it out below:
1. The Katherine Special
Because of her always changing ways, the special on the menu every night will be considered The Katherine. Salmon? Steak? A crazy psycho-filled sundae? Anything is possible.
2. The Shirtless Jeremy
Simply, a cheeseburger or any type of sandwich with no bread; just the meat. Instead of saying "hold the bread" you'll just say "make it a shirtless Jeremy."
3. The Ripper
The most delicious and stunning piece of meat...ever. With a drip of sauce in the (like blood, obvi) it will leave anyone wanting more just because of how mouth-watering it is.
4. The Damon Deluxe
Basically, comfort food. You get your burger and fries and a nice whiskey to drink it all down with. Simple, yet something most people would enjoy and pay attention to. To be sire bonded to the plate, if you will.
5. The Caroline The most eloquent piece of cheesecake for dessert. Beautiful and simple, yet the best in town.
'The Originals' Spin-Off: 5 Changes To Expect In 'Vampire Diaries' Season 5

Lately, The Vampire Diaries is getting fans all types of feisty. After a brutal episode of being pulled on a thread wondering whether or not Jeremy would actually be killed off, to Stelena fans running rampant with Twitter comments, it all points to one very alarming question: what in the world could possibly happen next? At least one things for sure--the pilot for The Originals is currently being filmed, and we couldn't be more excited for it. But, what does that mean for The Vampire Diaries come next season? Soak it all in friends, because Mystic Fans has some very big changes coming its way. (Or so we think!
TVD: Best Stebekah Moments!

Stebekah is certainly getting hot and heavy on The Vampire Diaries. The CW series wasted no time getting these two together after the demise of Stelena, and we can't help but love it. Sorry Stelena and Delena fans, but many of you have probably been secretly rooting for these two too. Their past is coming back in full force, so we couldn't help but look back during the ripper days. If you weren't a shipper before, then you may now after glancing over these very hot GIFS. Enjoy, Stebekah fans.

More Season 4 Scoop from Julie Plec!!

TVLine has some more from their talk with Julie Plec about the Salvatores, Klaus, Caroline & Tyler, and more coming up in the second half of season four. This passage about Klaus is intriguing:

“The beauty of Klaus, much like Damon, is that his horrible misdeeds are all born out of a place of a complete lack of trust and faith as a result of being repeatedly betrayed and rejected in his life. I’m not saying I excuse his horrific behavior, but it’s born from a very human place. Once someone’s got a strong core of humanity, there’s hope for them – [they may] just not necessarily wake up tomorrow as Man of the Year. Klaus will continue to be a very complicated character. Much like Damon in the first couple seasons, when he feels backed up against the wall, he lashes out in very, very destructive ways. It makes it impossible to forgive. And yet, the redemption of Klaus as a character-long arc is something we always talk about.”
TV Guide has more from their post-mortem interview with Julie Plec. Warning: If you haven’t watched through Stand By Me (EP415), best avoid some major spoilers.

The second half the season will be more grounded in high school. What can we expect?
Plec: We just started shooting the prom episode, which is episode 19 and graduation is going to be the finale. We’ll get to end the season with all of those great questions of who’s going to be where, who’s going to be with who, who’s going to do what.

Spoiler Alert!: 'The Vampire Diaries' March 21st plot details revealed

We already known that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has gone completely wheels off in the wake of Jeremy’s death and that the next episode, “Bring it On” (airing March 14th), won’t exactly see her easing up on the boss-level crazy.

So in the NEXT next episode, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decides to take matters into his own hands and whisks Elena away from the tragedy-filled surroundings of Mystic Falls and to the glamour and excitement of New York City. Of course, the couple gets more than they bargained for.

WARNING: I’m about to get all spoilery up in this ish, so if you don’t want to know what happens, I suggest you stop reading.

[[spoiler]] As it turns out, Rebekah Claire Holt) crashes the party and joins the duo on their trip, as she is “impressed with Elena’s secret agenda.” Matters get further complicated when flashbacks to Damon’s 1970s life in NYC include the reappearance of Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) and, well, “it’s complicated” as Facebook would say. Oh, snap.

While Damon and Elena have their hands full in the big city, the rest of the gang is back in Mystic Falls and trying to figure out what to do about Silas. Bonnie (Kat Graham ) is apparently no help, as she’s off in looney tunes town trying to keep her grip on reality. Stefan Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola), on the other hand, spend the entire episode trying to convince Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to let them hunt Silas.

Will Tyler Ever Return In 'The Vampire Diaries'?

Were you hoping Tyler Lockwood would be returning to Mystic Falls some time soon? Well, I’m afraid I’m going to have to put an end to that dream. In a recent chat with TV Guide, producer Julie Plec revealed Tyler wouldn’t be returning for at least a few years. She explained:

Tyler had to leave in the same way Katherine had to leave. When Klaus puts his mark on you, you’re pretty f---ed. So we do not have any plans to bring him back until there is a resolution to his Klaus problem and with Katherine it took her out for two years. Tyler does appear in one episode [this season], but it’s not his “return”.

Later on in the interview Plec unveiled another interesting tidbit. She explained that Elena and Caroline would be continuing their turbulent relationship, while we also “haven’t seen the end of the strange and somewhat perverse and beautiful and horrific and amazing and awful dynamic between Caroline and Klaus.”

The Vampire Diaries' Teases 70s Flashbacks For Damon

The CW has released episode stills for Episode 4.17 of The Vampire Diaries called “Because the Night”, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a slice of Damon’s past life in 1970s New York.
Realizing that Elena (Nina Dobrev) needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes her to the big apple, where he let loose in the 70s. Flashbacks reveal Damon’s hedonistic life in the underground club scene and a complicated encounter with Lexi (guest starArielle Kebbel).
Here’s a sneak peek:
