Hayley and Klaus: How did we get here?

Hayley was thrown out of the house by her adoptive parents when she transformed into a werewolf for the first time and tore the living room apart. Ever since then she has been looking for her real parents. Can you imagine what that was like? She probably didn’t understand what was happening to her, and then the only family she had known tosses her out.

After being thrown out of her house, she joined other werewolves which eventually led her to Tyler, who had become a hybrid and sired to Klaus. Then she helped Tyler unsire all of Klaus’ hybrids so they could kill Klaus.

When she told Klaus the plan he was
pissed, so he killed all the unsired hybrids and started a vendetta to kill Tyler, too. But Hayley told Tyler to run away so Klaus couldn’t kill him for unsiring all the hybrids, which were now dead.

She was also working with Professor Shane because he told her knew about her real parents. After Klaus killed the 12 hybrids, Shane told her her parents were dead, but after Silas was raised, Silas would raise her parents.

She is also attracted to Tyler and was probably jealous when she realized he was in love with Caroline. Klaus is also in love with Caroline, which is why she told him if he killed Tyler that Caroline would never forgive him. Katherine also promised to help her connect with her parents if she helped her find and get the cure. So she plays everybody against each other. A manipulative bitch that everybody loves to hate.

She’s been playing Klaus ever since she showed up with Tyler, partly maybe because she loves Tyler. Klaus, who also loves Caroline, knows that Hayley is working with Katherine, so he saves her to try and get information from her about where Katherine is.

So, by getting close to Klaus and making him think she’ll tell him about Katherine, she can also spy for Katherine to keeps tabs on him. That was a wickedly sly smile she had on her face when she realized that she had successfully seduced Klaus. A very twisted web of deception all the way around.

But things backfired on her when Klaus noticed the tattoo on her shoulder and told her he only knew of one werewolf clan with that mark, and they lived in Louisiana. So her parents were probably from that clan. New Orleans, Louisiana, is the backdrop for The Originals. Sounds like a perfect reason for her to go to New Orleans, either with or without Klaus.

It’s been a long, twisted journey. So where will they go from here?
