'Vampire Diaries' Spin-off 'The Originals' Starts Filming

The Vampire Diaries spinoff, The Originals, will be here very soon. In fact, it just started filming in New Orleans today.

The Originals will follow Klaus (Joseph Morgan), “who returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, a town he helped build centuries ago, and is reunited with his diabolical former protege Marcel (The Games Charles Michael Davis).”

As well as Klaus, The Originals will also feature Vampire Diaries regulars such as Rebekah (Claire Holt), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

The Originals will be piloted in an actual episode of The Vampire Diaries, so tune into The CW on April 25 to get the first look. If it proves successful (which it probably will), a full season should hit your screens in the fall.
