The Vampire Diaries cast excited The Originals spin-off

April 25th, the night that The Vampire Diaries will air the backdoor spin-off of The Originals, is just a few weeks away! I hope you’re as excited as I am to see the new cast members as they explore the exciting New Orleans, which our lovable Klaus helped build.

Everybody on The Vampire Diaries is excited about the new The Originals spin-off. Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore, recently confided that The Originals will also mean big things for The Vampire Diaires, too.

The idea of these Originals leaving will create a reset button, and maybe we can get back to the roots of The Vampire Diaries and sort of just basic human emotions, as opposed to all of these mythological events that have been unfolding.

But Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, was sorry he didn’t get a chance to film in New Orleans, too, since it’s his hometown.
